Kintsugi
There is a Japanese art called Kintsugi, the practice of putting broken pottery pieces back together with gold; built on the idea that in embracing flaws and imperfections, one can create an even stronger, more beautiful piece of art.
What if we honored our life experiences in the same way?
Imagine how dealing with our challenges and losses would be different if we embraced the cracks, replacing our fears and shame with hope and appreciation for our imperfections, and those experiences now reflected our resilience and strength?

The only way to get where we want to go is to leave where we’ve been. It’s an absolute truth. While that seems obvious and change can seem exciting, right on the other side of our familiar zone we will meet fears that can stall us and keep us from our future.
There is a way forward together!
My candid, compassionate, and nurturing approach assists people to identify and manage their fears, explore and initiate the possibilities for positive change, and ultimately live with with greater ease and grace.
Our ability to heal and grow starts with just a single step of awareness.

ABOUT ME
As a practicing therapist for over 20 years, I have the privilege of working collaboratively with my clients to assist them in finding solutions to their problems and of learning how to live life more authentically with greater joy.
Bringing a pragmatic approach to my work fueled by experience, empathy, wisdom, warmth and humor, my emphasis is connecting to my clients and making them feel safe, witnessed, understood, and valued.
With a commitment to a varied practice, I have a deep interest in working with people suffering from anxiety and depression, dealing with relationship issues, trauma, and abuse, moving through life transitions (grief and loss, divorce, career changes, etc.), facing infertility, chronic pain, and parenting challenges, as well as issues related to eating and weight.
Traditionally trained and using contemporary approaches for therapy (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Mindfulness and Neurobehavioral Techniques). I am excited to incorporate mind-body techniques into my practice and I believe they can often quickly facilitate the healing process and help people make significant changes in their lives.
As a life-long learner filled with curiosity, in my non-professional life you may find me taking on a new home improvement project, outside gardening, hiking, walking my energetic border collie or enjoying new adventures with family and friends.
